EU Comenius - projekt "Život minorit s námi, nebo vedle nás?"

Meeting in Hungary, Buj - 19. May 2013 - 24. May 2013

The school visit was part of a three-week project, with the topic of multi-cultural knowledge in our lives. In doing so, each class became acquainted with Comenius partner countries’ life and culture.

We started our rich program with sightseeing in Budapest Whit Monday. We visited an exhibition in the Ethnographic Museum, and walked in the Buda Castle. We looked around in the city and saw the sculptures on Heroes Square. For the rest of the week our guests visited our school, took part on a music lesson in Nyíregyháza Kodály Primary School and met with the mayor of our village too. In addition to the official programme we also went to some trips in the surrounding area. We visited Sárospatak, and went to see a pottery.

Students really enjoyed the visit as they could paint their own ceramic plate. As this meeting was about music and dances of minorities, we had two presentations on two afternoons. We all really enjoyed the dances, the music and the videos that were presented by our partners. All the partner schools prepared very interesting presentations about the life of minorities. Some of them made a Powerpoint presentation, some danced or sang. Our pupils also sang and danced.

We could see nice dances and hear good songs. All the pupils enjoyed it very much also the paernts who came to watch the presentations.
